After extensive research about M.A.C. Cosmetics, something unique about the company is that they did a mixture of collaborative limited edition works, and they worked with dark colors and tones for packaging. The idea was to take something that was generally seen as bright and energetic, such as spring, and try to incorporate it into M.A.C.’s line of cosmetics. The main focus was flowers and the variations of organic shapes with the packages, while also encompassing the pop of brightness aspect that M.A.C. embraces.
To take an existing brand and develop a cosmetic display piece that could exist in a department store, while also developing a concept for the cosmetic line. There should be extensive research conducted on this company to develop something that relates to the company, but isn’t identical do what they’re currently designing.
